No chance he's spending anything close to that

i know you meant 500k but just imagining someone spending 500 million on a NOLA mayor race is funny
i'm not even sure you could do it. even if you covered the entire city and completely bought out all forms of adverts
it would be brewesters millions times 10

I don't think there is a single person in the city who supports the manner in which the statues came down. Many wanted them to come down... but Mitch could have had a more FUBAR'd process.

Jesus Christ too many fricks on this board are still wrapped around the damn axle about statues to losers.

Jackson has a black secessionist as a mayor.
Baton Rouge will get there.
New Orleans ain't far behind
Then Memphis.
Then Montgomery, Mobile, Birmingham
I agree. Add Little Rock and a few others. I don't see white flight slowing down any and the hood rat types outbreed all other population segments

Yeah but hood rats have a shorter lifespan.

We definitely have bigger fish to fry. Like education, and poverty, and crime, and trade schools, and how attract corporate business and protect the French Quarter. Surely she'll mention some of these fish to fry now that she wants to drop the whole monument thing.

Oh never mind, she's a stupid bitch.

Birmingham and NOLA share similar problems. The cities embraced issues in the 60s that is killing them today. Meanwhile, neighboring cities took advantage, and are booming. I don't see a path forward for either. Both are extremely segregated, and growth can't happen in that environment.

Screw that dump of a city. I've been to Orleans Parish twice this century, no need for me to go there any more. Couldn't care less who gets elected down there.

I'd say let's revisit it in about 150 years.

What issues, Civil Rights? Every state was effected. It was legislation meant to do what was necessary and morally correct.
If you are talking about economics, is there a trade decifit or lack of commerce in these cities.

We need to start admitting NOLA is a big dump.
