I'm concerned with things that impact me. I would vote for a candidate who would do away with the hoops homeowners have to jump through to get their freaking property tax refund but no one is worried about that.

You've fallen for politician-speak. What she's saying if that as a candidate, she thinks the cameras are questionable, but if she is elected mayor and is in control of all that camera revenue she will come up with a bullshite reason the cameras increase safety.
If you want to stop the cameras, sign the NOLAInitiative petition to get a camera vote on the ballot next election cycle. Don't give into a politician's pandering.
