I don't know what you're bitching about. New Orleans should be heaven to a fecal freak picture taker like you. You don't even have to go inside and find toilets because you can get bums to shite outside for your pics.

I've lived in both. Memphis is better.

It's pretty obvious what the common denominator is with all these "problem"'cities.

That's a stretch. Comparing it to desolate Detroit is ridiculous also

Detroit, contrary to what the majority of what you all believe (I'm sure most of you all have never been as well) is actually experiencing a nice resurgence. It still has miles and miles to go, but it's nice to see some sort of growth.
Detroit also has some good neighborhoods in it.

One of the top tourism destinations in the world.
Real estate booming.
New businesses booming.
Restaurants and food, booming
Music
Nightlife
Culture, not Cultcha.
Murder is down.
I just love these NOLA hate threads
Yeah, Detroit of the south

It's mostly folks from hick towns who are afraid of the city b/c it's perceived as black.

Lets list the common denominators:
Industry run off by taxes and politicians
Tax base shrunk but government got bigger
Too many public employees
Pension funds
Crooks stealing pension fund
High African American population
Democrat party affiliation
Illiteracy rate in the 40% for adults (which is about the same rate as the Central African Republic, which at least has the excuse that it was ruled throughout the Seventies by a cannibal emperor)

NO, a lot of it is from people who live or have lived there, but also have experiences living in other major cities.
We have seen other places and know NOLA is a wasteland beyond repair.

A police department is nothing without community support. Its not just that the community is anti police, they are anti authoritative.
