The litter is what I noticed as well. Just incredibly sad how trashy the city has become, even by NOLA standards. I was supposed to go to Mardi Gras this year and the plans fell through, almost glad I'm not now. Really sad state.

Teen killed in Treme
About 45 minutes later, gunfire was reported in the 2000 block of Dumaine Street in Treme (map).

A teen had been shot there and died at the scene, police said. Authorities said he was a teen but didn't release his specific age. His name was not available either.

Authorities say they believe he was was shot by two other males.

No additional details were available about the killing, including a possible motive
