New Orleans East has the infrastructure to become a major port. It has the docks, water access, railways and roads to do big things, they just need city government to get out the way.

How the frick is NOLA East getting a news story out of this and Lakeview hasnt even entertained the thought?
The city of NOLA literally gives 0 fricks about Lakeview and ironically most of the people in charge giving 0 fricks live in NOLA East.

Lakeview entertained becoming part of Jefferson parish many years ago, but it did not fly.

LV should just incorporate and be its own city like Kennerbrah. It would be a filthy-rich island paradise in the middle of decrepitation and function better than any city in the State.

Where do kids in the East go to school?
If Lakeview were to secede from Orleans Parish, there are no schools for them to go to..they would all still go to private and Charter schools in Orleans Parish.
BTW....can Orleans have Old Metairie while we're talking about dividing the area up into pieces?
