You must not understand how New Orleans works
This would be like north Baton Rouge supporting St George
Oh I know how NOLA works
lived there 26 of my 32 years
grew up in the East actually... before the family moved to a different part of the city in the early 2000s

Heck, the lower 9 and Arabi could be their own city too
Considering Arabi is part of St Bernard Parish, I think the residents of Arabi would say

Baker. They did...it is a disaster

Ok....so then you understand my comparison?
Why does everyone that's spent time in New Orleans think anyone challenging their knowledge of the city is a threat

I wasn't trying to act all-knowing... just posting a news story

It's a complete non story, the east these days having the capability to secede from the city is laughable.

Castnet seafood would make up 1/2 the GDP of the new city.

NOLA gonna have improved crime statistics now?
Nearly all the crime, mainly in the Quarter, stems directly from the Iberville projects.

Because all the people who live there are provencials. They think NOLA is the best city in the world. I should know, I lived there for 30 years, It's ashamed what the city has become.

I wonder what they will name the area?
I guess this is why half moon took control of the Six Flags soon to be fiasco.
This is going to be fun to watch.

Castnet is still amazing. I eat there whenever I go back to visit my parents. The east from Lady Gray to Berg and Hayne to Curran is still all the same good people from pre-Katrina. The rest of the east however is a bigger shithole than ever and the 7th district is the largest area in the city yet they have the fewest NOPD on patrol.
It's a shame it's become what it is because it was an awesome place to grow up.
grew up between Reed & Bullard... went to the school on Hayne

I grew up right there. It's a small world out there so I'm sure we know each other depending on our ages.
