that's the owner's decision, not the smokers

and why should you have the power to tell that owner and those patrons what to do? it's not your bar and you obviously don't want to go there (if it's full of smokers)

A proprietor's choice to be smoking or non smoking is much better than a blanket ordinance passed by the City Council. Leave it to the consumer to decide where they want to take their business. If you didn't want to be in a smokey bar, there were already quite a few non-smoking bars in the area. There are more important issues that the City Council should be focusing on...like violent crime in the French Quarter, low officer numbers and corruption in the NOPD, un-drivable streets...I could go on.

Id like to open up a strip club w/ video poker across the street from the school your 10yr old goes too, but im rational enough to realize why I cant.

You seem like one of those self centered types who thinks that you have a right to not be offended without realizing that it necessarily means that everyone should have less rights than you if they disagree with you on anything.
