Yeah. Can't be slamming steel plates down.
I have 440lbs worth of bumper style plates at the house, too, so I can catch up on workouts at home if I was tied up during the day and couldn't make it to the gym.

It actually is a gimmick. If shoulder pain is a problem, it's most often the excercise you are doing, not the grip.
It absoutley is a waste when it does not have a purpose.
A set of gymnastic rings will get you the results you want?? This makes me realize you know even less about lifting than I thought.
Your comment makes no sense. You are trying to compare typical workout equipment, to a silly multi-grip press bar that is insanely overpriced.
Lol at trying to brag about money on an anonymous message board. That's just the height of insecurity.

I see what you're saying about the bar being a gimmick but if you're using that mindset then what in a typical gym isn't a gimmick? Or even professional and collegiate gyms? Are you basing this off of only needing a barbell and some plates?

Have you ever tried going to a gym and seeing if they will sell you equipment if they are thinking about upgrading?
Anything with moving parts a lot of gyms won't do this for liability reasons.
Stuff like plates, bars and dumbells almost never gets upgraded because it can last forever.
