No way there wasn’t a ton of frickery involved with capturing that image... that’s probably why it looks so fake.

They probably stitched and spliced and colorized and filtered it all to hell to the point it’s basically computer-generated.

That’s my guess.

I've had people look down the tube of my telescope to see if I had stuck a picture of Saturn in there. Saturn is easily in the top 3 things to look at with a telescope.
