I had a pair of Tony Lamas and I couldn't wear them. Felt like a pencil was under my arch. Ended up giving them away.

All I wear is ropers, but that is due to back problems more than anything else. Dr told me not to wear anything with a tall heel. Personally, I'm not sure if I would wear anything else but it may be that I am just too used to ropers now.

If you have a cavenders close to you swing in there and take a look at the Cavenders brand ostrich boot. Looks to be well made and they are in the 350 price range.

Tony Lama are the boots

I had some tony lama steel toe work boots that didn't last. The sole came off one boot and you can't get it stitched back on with steel toe...

So I would not recommend them, but maybe others have fared differently

Lucchese Rhys Hornbacks

Lucchese 1883 Barrel Caiman Tail & Smooth Ostrich

All day, every day. Just make sure you get sized properly with the typical sock you'd wear, since they will take a little while to break in and will be nice and snug for a little while. Well worth the wait though

Those Augustus that I linked on the 1st page are like wearing butter that never melts. Most comfortable footwear I've ever owned.

My best pair of work boots were justins. Currently I have ariats for casual wear and some double H boots for work boots. The double h boots are still too new to tell, but I'm liking them more and more every time I wear them.

I don't really care for square toe boots. Looking for traditional or round toe boots.

I have both. I feel some round toes look stupid because they lose shape

M.L. Leddy

ML Leddy

M.L. Leddy's are the nicest boots you can buy. Lucchese aren't all handmade anymore and are sold in fricking department stores.

Also, I don't respect people that wear square toed boots. They are very effeminate.

The classics are still good boots. 2001 and 1883 are no better than others in their price range

I bought the Tecova Cartwrights a couple months ago. Very satisfied with the purchase. They run about the same as your tennis shoe size. Whereas my Nokonas and Ariats run half a size bigger than tennis shoe size. Ill be making a Wyatt purchase in the next few months if they're still available.
