technically, no, he's not a real cowboy ... cowboys WORK on a ranch ... with, among other things, COWS ...

Walk in cavenders, 95% are square toes. I went looking for round toe and they had about 10 pairs total in my size that were round.

We must have a different definition of Cowboys. I don't see a cowboy not wearing square toes nowadays
