Just got the wife a 15 Durango Limited before Thanklsgiving for 37k.

Has leather, nav, rear camera and sensors, heated seats in front and second row also heated captain's chairs.

Took it to Disney World 2 weeks ago and was a really nice ride.

I'm a mechanic of 35 yrs. Get the best warranty you can buy. Back in the day extended warranties weren't really needed. Today they are a must regardless of the vehicle. Minor repairs are expensive. So much more to break-so many sub-systems that cost a ton to repair. Used to be you had the engine, transmission, and maybe rear differential that cost big. Nowadays you can spend 2 G's on an a/c repair easily. All vehicles break-some more than others but they all break. Spend the money for a damn good warranty.

My son has one that is 4WD. Nice, but looking for something more sporty and smaller.

Got a Toyota Venza for the fiance, we were going for a Fourrunner, but she liked the car like handling and smooth ride and huge rear seats, plus it was like $25k.

I'm sure that would fly with a grandma behind the wheel.

Agreed... I got a 60,000 6 year warranty on my KIA... Its three years old and we have only put 23,000 on it... A great car so far.. I also have a 2008 Kia Spectra that only has 60,000 on it and have the 10 year 100,000 warranty... Another great car.. Never had any major problems with it....

Get a Deuce & a 1/2

No one will cut her off in traffic. She'll be safe. Plenty of room in the cargo area to stash the kids.

New Nissan Murano

Best engine out there. Detuned Maxima engine that gets 31 hwy driving 75 mph and has the best seats you'll ever take a long drive in.

Never was a Nissan fan but this vehicle has been a game-changer

Best bang for the buck. I just can't see throwing 50K for a car, that is for sure. Under 30k is still a bit high. I'm retired.

Get her a Buick. Women love big cupholders!

Toyota 4Runner Limited

Pros: Power, ride, features, resale value, quality, decent mileage (21-24), ground clearance.

Cons: Can't really think of any at this point.

New Murano is really nice. Almost pulled the trigger on one, but decided I needed more cargo space from a fullsize SUV. These seats are the most comfortable seats ever, and they drive really nice.

You can move the ride down to cons compared to any crossover. 4Runners drive like trucks, not that there's a problem with that. But if you don't need truck like capabilities from your SUV, the ride is pretty harsh.
