You mind posting an example or two of what you were looking at. I'm not as familiar with Fort Worth, but I'm skeptical that there are two bedrooms for $1200 that are places you'd want to live.

You can't even really find that in the suburbs anymore. We paid $1600 for a 2 bed in McKinney.

How old are your kids? Do you have a target square footage?

Obviously you can get more sf for less the farther out you go, but the chillis in watuaga is the same as the chillis in Burleson. Fort worth is a great town to live in the city propper IMO. Lots to see and do that you wont likely take advantage of if you live in the burbs. Maybe check arlington heights or ridglea hills neighborhoods. Fairmount or Ryan place.

My parents live in Burleson. It’s abour 25 miles south of this meachem airport. It’s a pretty nice area and probably more affordable.

Guess you could live out in Benbrook and commute in. $1200-1500 for what you would consider desirable and stress-free isn't going to be fun to find.

You could move to Aledo, but you have to become a die hard high school football fan.

Here's a search of Saginaw for $1500 or less.

A few around the Keller area.

Someone mentioned Benbrook - 20 minutes to where my place of employment would be.

DFW is becoming one of the metro areas that the closer you get to a loop the cost goes up exponentially.
