Need washing machine. Low efficiency and manual water level selection

Want this thing to just waste water as I see fit and wash clothes with a lot of soap and water bc that’s how you fricking wash clothes.
No brand loyalty. Don’t care agitator or impeller. Also cycle time under 45 minutes would be a big plus.
ETA responses with just a brand are pointless. Make and model tia.

Is that what you call his mom?
They aren’t what they used to be. Reviews on the newer models are terrible.

There's a board for this where you'll get tons of help

Do not buy a Speed Queen made in 2018 or 2019. They simply do not clean clothes very well. They made major changes for 2018 and just are not good washers. I made mistake of buying one and will soon sell it or give it away.
They were, by far, the worst machines tested by Consumer Reports. I wish I had read their review before I bought.

Was just the 18 but yeah. For 19 they went back to the prior agitator design. Not sure why they tried to mess with s good thing.
OP get a SQ you won’t regret it

It was just the 2018s that didn’t wash well because they changed the agitator design. They reverted back to the previous design for 2019 so they are much better again.

They don't make them like that anymore. Find someone that refurbs direct drive Whirlpools from 98-08.
Or earlier.
ALL new appliances are made to last five years, ten is a blessing.

I don't think you can pick your water level anymore.
A 2017 speed queen would be the best "new" machine you can get. The 19s are too new to know much about.
I have a convention to go to in Chicago in a few months and I'll play around with the '20s and see what I think.
Honestly though THE BEST washer machine you can get is a Whirlpool Kenmore made before 2010. Basically before they started putting the lights and start button on them.
Yes I recommend buying a used washing machine. A 1990 Kenmore will still be working in 2030. A 2020 Kenmore will not.
They ate going all cheap Chinese parts and going with controls that cost more than a new machine ti replace

Didn’t know about the water level on the 19s. Enjoying my 17 though
ETA found this:
quote:
Speed Queen, after their disastrous launch of the new TR series washer in 2018, have brought back their old style washer for 2019, the TC5000WN, or AWN632SP116TW01, aka, the Speed Queen Classic
quote:
The “new” TC5000 is basically a 2017 SQ in disguise, but for some reason, not quite as good. Let me just say up front that this is overall a properly good washer, and better than most of the garbage out there today. That said, the TC5 does not have a water level switch, but will give you a full tub of water and a pretty vigorous agitation.
2019 SQ review

W's Energy Star standards came out under him. 100% government fault though.

They need to put back the water level switch. That's the number one complaint I hear all the time.
