Lucky Palace motel however. I cannot understand why they don’t move.

I was friends with Lim (the owner) before he died. I asked him one night and he said "Lease is cheap and I am packed every night. Why would I move?" I can't argue with that logic.

They're about the same price as the Hilton usually but way the hell nicer and right around the corner. The other suggestions are right. Stay away from west Shreveport, North Shreveport, Shreveport in general. Almost anywhere in Bossier will be safer.

Oh and DO NOT PASS ON KI' MEXICO!

"That's the best Mexican restaurant on the planet." That's a quote from a friend of mine from Dallas who's hobby and love is Mexican food. He's been all over the states and Mexico trying to find the best. Blew his mind with a Poblana Taco and some rice and beans. He actually grabs friends from Dallas and brings them to Shreveport just for Ki' Mexico because nobody believes him.

As opposed to Baton Rouge and New Orleans?

This isn’t a compare the shithole Louisiana cities thread.

To answer your question, “In addition to” is my answer.

Agreed – this is the play if you are staying the night in Shreveport.

Also, 100% agree. While I wouldn't call it the best Mexican restaurant on the planet, it is DAMN good. Ki Mexico, Frank's and Lucky Palace could all easily hold their own in any bigger city. These 3 and El Cabo Verde (off Southern Loop) are the food spots that I actually miss from Shreveport.

I run over to Ki at least once a month from the Longview area. It's truly good. They do a great job of marketing on FB with simply posting their daily focused dish. Just going through their photos page on FB is worth the time. I've never had a bad plate which includes their varied and ever-changing items. From gourmet burgers, Ramen, authentic Mexican you name it. It's another level. Favorite place.

I've always wondered why they don't move as well, yea, can't argue with that I honestly figured they'd eventually go out of business because of the location, glad to know they're staying busy. Best hot and sour soup in town.

Wonder is the east bank district being revamped has helped business.
