Need to replace a garage door

What do I need to look for? I am seeing all type of options from aluminum,steel, vinyl and wood.

I like my insulated aluminum. It’s light, has a little bit of R factor, and never needs painting. However, if you have kids playing basketball in the driveway, it is going to get dented.

Wood rots and warps so that material would be the last on my list. It's also heavy.

Let me know what you go with though. I currently have 2 separate doors and wanting to go to one. I know that will be more expensive, but on my to do list.

Located on the Cumberland Plateau. Not too much wind except for the occasional tornado scare. Not sure there is a door rated for that wind.

Probably not, mine are rated for "100" mph. Hopefully never have to test it .

Steel is working fine on my current door, so I will go back with that when the time comes. The next one will be insulated, though. Windows or no is your decision depending on your typical use of the garage.

I had 2 wooden 9x7 ft doors replaced with aluminum, insulated doors each with 4 small rectangular windows and were $1100 total installed.
