Nakona is like 250 bucks. I don't like them bc the designs are terrible and I'm not a fan of their kangaroo leather. It folds weird.

Know how I know you've never touched a Nokona?

Nokona is one of the stiffest freaking gloves you can get, I have one. It took me a full season to break it in. Another guy on my team also has a Nokona that's going on 12 or 13 years old and it's damn near as stiff as mine that's only 2 years old.

Gah damn you mad. I've had 2 of them and they were floppy after one season each

And my HOH glove was more expensive

Try the Shoeless Joes. If Nakonas are too expensive. The new Shoeless joe gloves dont need much breaking in and they habe some different designs that look good. Good look baw

13" Mizuno is all you need. If you want something more expensive made for softball, Worth has a line that's $200 or so that is very nice. I've had one for 6 years and it's held up perfectly. I don't know if you can handle the white leather.

I gotta admit I laugh at guys with their expensive gloves.

It's not like you can catch any better with a $300 glove compared to other gloves. As long as the leather doesn't flap around like PA's flaccid pecker you should be fine

I can see paying for an expensive bat that gives you more pop

But in the end, we are talking about men's slow pitch softball here. Save the $ and buy your team a round of beers to make up for striking out

A one time purchase of $150-350 for a glove that will last your entire career or 4-5 $50-75 purchases of shitty gloves that last 1-2 years.

Plus, like you said people pay $300 for a bat that will last 2-3 months tops. Kinda funny that people think that's fine, but a lifetime purchase is looked down upon.

Shoeless Joes.

I don't have a clue how their gloves will hold up or work on a softball field, but the 3200 catcher's mitt was the best I ever used. Bought it at H. Mikel because my Cooper blew the stitches and was blown away at how little it took to break it in, yet how well padded it was. If their softball gloves are anywhere close to their catcher's mitts then I would suggest Shoeless and never look back.
