I was thinking something along these lines.
My daughter just turned 11 and is finishing up 10U. She swings a Demarini 31" -10 end loaded bat. A 10 year old boy should be able to easily swing at least 30" -10 with no problem.
A 28" as some were saying seems extremely small for a boy.
