Buying a new watch this week and want to ditch the band for either rubber or leather and wanted a recommendation on a good leather strap. Ideally I’d like an unfinished saddle leather type over a polished but I’m open to idea

Here’s the watch I’m looking at.

Why not keep the bracelet on the samurai? It's very nice.

Honestly I’m just not a fan of the bracelets. Just personal preference. Are you familiar with the watch?

Of my 5 or so watches that I rotate, I think 2 are leather and 3 are rubber.

I got a Barton for a Christmas, it’s nicer than I thought it’d be. I got a canvas version, but their leather looks nice. Almost got the espresso leather...still may pick it up. Tricky spring bars.

Hirsch is always good. Everest makes some REALLY nice ones. Worn and wound makes a really nice stone leather one without stitching...

Yeah I’ve got 2 Barton silicone bands that are awesome and affordable but the leather ones look kinda cheap to me idk. I’ll check out the other ones mentioned

Here’s the same watch with a leather band. I kinda like this style. What ya think?

That watch looks great with a dark brown leather nato. Or do you want just regular straps?

Absolutely. I’ll never wear a bracelet. Straps look great with beefy lugs like that. If you get a nice band look into a deployant clasp to keep it fresh. I love mine, wish I had a couple more.

I’d prefer regular. I particularly like the stitching style on that as opposed to the stitching down the sides like my current one

Do you do the change out yourself? Bring it to someone?

My casual watch and I love it, I'm rough on it and it's held up nicely

Man those DaLuca vintage leather straps are fine and just what I’m looking for. Unfortunately at $180 they’re out of my budget.

That’s why I was saying get a deployant for a nice strap. They’ll last forever that way, and never crease on the notch you use.
