It is theoretically possible/probable that space can be moved around an object.
The energy requirements are just approaching the limits of our comprehension. Ie... All of the gas of Jupiter to move a single molecule.

According to Catherine Austin Fitts (Assistant Secretary of Housing under 1st Bush and a former investment banker... Wiki page), virtually the entire National Debt of 20 Trillion dollars has been funneled into "black hole projects," much of which revolve around experiments and developments in space travel, advanced propulsion and so on... now I think that's a little crazy (she is a bit of a conspiracy theorist), but even if it's just 1 or 2 Trillion... that's a lot of money for the government to be burning doing R&D, building secret labs, etc.

I thought the prevailing theory was that it was the Air Force's aircraft. The Navy knew nothing about it, except for probably the top level guys.
