It’s National Hamburger Day. Personally, I hate trying to keep up with every stupid food day of the year. But, this is one I support. I’ll be grilling my own tonight. Where will you be celebrating?

Tons of it at both grocery stores I went by yesterday. And all at the same price it's always been.

Season however you want
425 for 15 minutes / until they are 160F

They are decent in a pinch, don’t smoke up the house like skillet burgers but the smell lingers

I think a few other posters will back me up, i think its one of the most underappreciated burgers in BR.

I will drive out of my way to get it and have yet to regret it.

Found this picture on yelp, doenst do it justice but its a good, classic burger. Not too fancy but great taste

I think the shortages may be regional, which is strange.

Where I live, I can barely find any at my local Walmart. I've been told ranchers have cows, but grocers won't buy. Restaurants are being charged as much as $7/lb.

I'm not cooking hamburgers today. I grilled two days ago. 3 lbs ground beef, 2 lbs ground pork, mixed in some Tony's and basil. Grilled them on charcoal, wife said it was the best burger she's ever had.

Next time, I'll try a sous vide, then sear on the cast iron.

No doubt, you can also sear in a hot cast iron skillet and transfer directly to the oven to finish.

Especially considering you're closer to the cattle farming part of the country than I am here in SC.

They just changed a law in my state so that people can buy directly from ranchers. I'd love to buy half a cow, but it's not like I live in the middle of Oklahoma. I live on the beach. All the ranchers and processors are 2 counties away.

Any great deals, today? I tried searching my local burger joints, but don't see much.
