Cars have federal laws that all people in this country have to follow regardless of the state you live in.

The truth is that in a country of 350mm people with guns, something like this is gonna happen a couple times a year. No amount of money thrown at “mental health” will stop it. Extra police wouldn’t stop it. We just have to accept it as a trade off for our right to bear arms. Sounds shitty but it’s the truth. Conservatives (I am one) should just admit as much. Simple as that.

Not sure why you have to be condescending. Obviously people break the law. The idea of traffic laws is to encourage the majority of the general public to abide by those laws and not create chaos on the roads. Laws create structure.

Honest question, not trying to start an argument but I’m genuinely curious. How does federal gun legislation that ensures all 50 states follow the same policy and all gun owners must follow the same process infringe on the 2nd amendment?

Hey I’m not nieve. Local gun legislation is nothing but political chum. It’s doesn’t work. Need federal legislation to see any type real change.

I think it’s more about where/what any legislation would eventually lead to. Give an inch and they’ll take a yard. The government is notorious for that.
