I'm in agreement it seems fishy, especially based on past events.
But it remains true that we just don't know. Before all of this, I would say Bubba just isn't the type to do something like this so I'd be pretty surprised by that.
Now Jussie Smollett was another story. Bubba seems pretty damn level headed and the other racers like the guy.

But you can Google "Jena, Louisiana Noose" and find a couple of confirmed incidents. Just for starters.
Or you can only focus on the hoax incidents to remain ignorant on it.

Even if it was a noose placed there to intimidate a black driver, why are idiots like Marty Smith, Paul Finebaum, and Dan Patrick, so OUTRAGED at the incident, yet don’t give a damn about literal physical attacks on innocent people ? It’s all some mission to control everything you think and feel

If I had to wager, I’d say Wallace didn’t know anything about it. Someone saw the rope pull, thought it was a noose, and then the corporate chain took over.

Yep, that’s my guess. Furthermore, I think the news got hold of it faster than NASCAR could look into it. NASCAR went full PR mode before anyone worth a damn looked into it, and now NASCAR is caught with their dick out when they didn’t originally intend to do it. But because they refused to investigate it before they addressed the media they are just as guilty imo for using something for their benefit.

So you have to go back 14 GODDAMN YEARS to find a relevant incident that slightly supports your position.
But fake ones abound all the time.
