Have you ever used a hatchet before? Again, one night a lot of this isn’t a big deal. Multiple weeks of it is a different story.
Cutting firewood with a hatchet for 60 days would be fricking miserable.
ETA: the hardest part about collecting firewood without a chainsaw is getting it to the fire. Carrying large logs and shite through the woods/ swamps is not easy. Especially for multiple weeks when you use all the wood close by and are now lugging it 100s of yards.

Yep and he’s going to be miserable for the next 2 days. I bet he’s the first to tap out.

Are you unfamiliar with louisiana?
There is no need to hall anything. Especially given our recent storms.
Also... They are literally in my back yard

Does dried up mud all over the body not keep the bugs from biting ? I mean the swamps offer and endless supply of thick muddish clay correct? Hell most of it you sink waste deep in it when walking in the swamps.

How did the name for this show make it out of focus groups?

Oh I know, I’m just explaining that doing it every day for 60 days is very hard work, mentally draining, and they likely don’t have the physical stamina for it to be easy. Camping or collecting wood at the camp is one thing, but it gets fricking old after a couple days.

The mental aspect in that element is 100x’s more draining than the physical aspect

I don’t doubt many here could survive it with some ok luck and light training.
I do agree that on day 53 they will not be thrilled about gnawing on a root for sustenance and chopping lumber to keep mosquitoes at bay

I challenge them to spend 24 hours naked in the back yard. Being naked adds a whole level of discomfort. The bugs alone would be a nightmare.
