I don't see where they are ranked by car insurance premiums. Maybe we should compare Alabama and South Carolina to Louisiana since they are the most similar in size and demographics.

Tort reform hasn’t lowered insurance rates in any state or industry it’s been passed in. Med mal has strict tort reform...are health care prices/insurance rates coming down?
This bill wasn’t about lower car insurance. If it were, they could have included in the bill a mandatory reduction of rates. But they didn’t. Why?
The bill, as written, has a number of problems that would actually worsen the situation due to unintended consequences.
Our car insurance rates are so high because: 1) the insurance commissioner allows it, 2) there are too many bad drivers, 3) the infrastructure is so bad it’s dangerous, 4) there are far too many dangerous drivers (including intoxicated drivers) on our roads.
You want lower rates? Vote out Donelon. If your kid was maimed, crippled or killed by a negligent driver, wouldn’t you want to have a chance at your day in court?

Grab the list that has Michigan 1 and Louisiana 2 and go to the bottom and post what you get.
The big one is punitive damages and an insurance company being on the hook for them. Family of five killed because 18 wheeler driver is jacking it to porn and rear ends them? Real case in Louisiana, but we don’t allow for punitives in that situation. Other states would allow a jury to punish the driver for that bad behavior, but Louisiana doesn’t allow punitive a damages except for drunk driving or if you sue someone civilly for child porn.

This wasn’t going to lower car insurance.

A trial lawyer governor vetoes a tort reform bill. I’m totally shocked.
Seems like a slight conflict of interest to me.

Explain how Donelon keeps rates high.

I can’t stand JBE. Adding this to the list.
We have the highest when you compare similar policies. By law, Michigan has unlimited PIP(personal injury protection). IF you consider that we even blow them away.

Here is a basic primer on the regulatory scheme of how insurance rates are regulated.

it will get fixed and pushed through again.

Were lower premiums guaranteed? Or was it just wishful thinking that they would be? I'm assuming the latter.
Nothing but wishful thinking and headlines to drum up support. The insurance commissioner admitted any claims of a reduction was pure speculation supported by nothing. This was a giveaway to the insurance companies.

I guess all the scumbag doctors (Ferachi, Scrantz and Mcarthy) will stay in business doing work for the scumbag lawyers like Gordon, Dudley, Spencer, Morris, etc.
It's more offensive that doctors use their medical degrees to make a a frick ton of money at the benefit of Louisiana citizens. Glad I chose another medical path.

So, how big of a plaintiff's whore has Ferachi become? I hear he has taken the place of Mcarthy after Taylor Wellons buttfricked him.
I guess Ferachi has to pick the torch up.
No, I'm a radiologist, frickstick.

That’s just on cases where they won the auto accident lottery and got hit by someone with a good amount of insurance. If it was just a 15/30 policy, they get sent to :insert random chiropractor: where they will claim neck/back pain, run up a few months of treatment and force the insurer to settle for the $15,000 policy limits with no more evidence of injury than saying “I hurt”.

I don’t practice in Baton Rouge so I don’t really care about your circle jerk gossip mill, Senor Partington..
I just find it funny you know and blast the doctors you perceive to be plaintiff-friendly while being completely oblivious that you obviously do enough litigation work to even have an opinion on the matter

LOL you seem like such an obtuse scumbag plaintiff's attorney sticking up for your scumbag doctors. It's a shame that doctors are selling their medical opinions to you guys for money. It's a stain on the medical field, which is why Mccarthy is perhaps the most hated doctor in the field...short of his protege Ferachi that is.
Must suck having to always defend your profession and the people you work with. LOL. You got a good radiology whore? hahaha scumbag.
