Plenty of car dealers make six figure incomes.

Passing judgement on people you don't know based on their job is pretty fricking trashy.

Must suck working Saturdays and waiting years for a promotion. How many wheels does your "very nice" house have?

Do you think you are better than someone because they live in a trailer?

No, that is why I am asking. If you had said you did I wouldn't need to ask.

The only way for us to know is if you post your tax filings

Wrong person. Again.

I like cars and have bought many new ones, rarely from the same person.

You and Mouton fit the preconceived notions most of have about car salesmen; rude, condescending and seem to have a inferiority complex.

Try being genuine and honest in your dealings with others. You'll sell just as many "units" at the "store" and you won't be so stressed.

I couldnt care less whoni reply to, I reply to the last post on the page, im extremely honest, becausw like I said most know more than me when they walk through the door. And no most people think we are out to screw them. They know we make commission and think we score about 3000 for each car which is 100% untrue. I have made that much a few times but its with work trucks when they buy multiple units. And apparently we are trashy. I dont wear a buttom up short sleeve shirt and corduroy if that is what your referring to.

If a salesman has the vehicle I want, I buy it. No questions asked. I want it, I'm your perfect customer. Unfortunately they never, ever have what I want.

You probably do. Perks of family money, don't have to worry about "making" money, it's just there. Sucks you have to make time to coach though. Bet that's tough on your kid.

What's thuraday though? Is that some car sales talk I'm not in on?

I've known quite a few guys in the business that weren't "trashy" and in fact, were among the most honest people I've known.

That said, the last few experiences I've had fit the stereotypical profile.

Good luck in your career. Be one of the guys that changes the image.
