Does everyone here realize that the dealership actually makes less money like that? They make more money financing cars, not selling them as cash deals.

Well no fricking shite.

You do understand though why some people choose to pay cash and why dealerships accept it, right?

Cool. So your one of those guys that coaches a bunch of random kids but don't actually have a kid on the team. Guess that's normal in Tennessee.

I've always wanted to know what working until 5 was like. How's rush hour traffic? My driver says it's not fun but I've never really noticed I guess.

Good luck with your little sales job. I'm sure you'll get that promotion soon and then you'll be set for life

Uh, excuse me for being dim, but as far as the buyer is concerned, he/she pays less by paying cash regardless of the purchase price. That annoying thing called interest.

That isn't necesarily true with inflation and what that money could be doing

Hell if I dont know the answer, I simply say I dont know but ill find out. Its much easier that way. Lots of people ask even though they know to see if they can trust you.

I can see batman being the guy that got snuck by j hill in tigerland. Probably just a kid with the maturity level of a 10th grader who finds humor in flaming on a online message board. Probably still in school, probably at brcc, studying liberal arts thinking he will be something special just to end up being a car salesman.

The BS always starts when they try to bring up monthly payments. It is just awkward and takes the fun out of buying a new car

I try not to talk about price until we are done with the demo but id say 90 percent of my customers would rather a certain monthly payment instead of talk about a certain price. Sure rule of thumb is 60 months at 60k is 1k a month, but everyone has a different credit score and every bank has different rates for them.

as a customer I'm just the opposite, I walk in wanting to talk money, I know how to drive a car, and what it feels like

Everyone is different, I love the arts of negotiations. It makes it a challenege for me. Bur most people are edgy when it comes to the money part. I always make people demo the car before we sit and talk about closing. I would rather you make sure your in the right car so you dont come back at me with big complaints.

it seems like the negotiating end of it has been taken out of the hands of the salesperson anymore, is that the case?(sorry if already covered, didn't read through it all)

I didn't even drive the last vehicle I bought before it was mine. I bought it before the dealer even saw it, payed what they asked. It was new and they only had time to scrape the other dealership sticker off, not even wash it. People should worry way more about what they are buying and not the 'deal' they are getting. It's not a deal if it's not what you want.

Eta, vehicle before that was bought before I flew 1400 miles to get it.

I've driven everything from a dump truck to a Lambo to an F-15, a car just gets me from a to b
