Well that was after I found exactly what I wanted. They didn't know that though.

I searched, i just didn't look far enough away. Found the wife's car 1400 miles away. That one was strange though, they were dropping the price obit every two weeks, but were firm on it when I called. Said they paid a firm to competitively price their CPO offerings and it us what it is. I think it was a good price though. fricking strange having a car salesman pick you up from the airport in New Jersey.

Yea I bet.

I don't take the same approach to car buying as everyone else. I don't really care about getting the lowest possible price. If I like the car and the price that's good enough for me.

Relatively new tech, about 5-7 years old I'd imagine. Very cool though and the absolute best way to get a value on a car whether a trade or for sale unit. They'll basically give you a composite of every vehicle in your car's category, as close to apples to apples as possible, and will tell you where you are priced relative to the market within about 500 miles i.e. 90% of market

I love that damn car. I want to own it for 20+ years, so I upkeep it with the A service offerings. It just hit 70k miles, so I'm sure it'll get interesting.

Coach Guidry, if you're a Nola Dealer you probably know (god forbid if you actually are him) my old mentor Don, he worked in Nola East at a good dealership for decades and I think he's back on the south shore now

A lot have to be honest. I didn't realize just how invaluable the teaching he was giving me until after I had switched dealerships. The guy is absolutely incredible and has a heart that is somehow as big as that fricking Neptune sized head of his

I'm never getting rid of the Jeep. I might pass it down to my son in 15 years. But I'll probably just buy him one of his own if he's into then like I am.

Its funny that people believe that car dealerships are the only business not allowed to make a profit. Interesting.

Of course a dealership should make money. The question is, "how much" they should make.
