I read somewhere that Pablo had about 20% of the US $100 bills..

Pablo's cash was insane. It's estimated that he'd lose over two BILLION dollars a year to rats chewing up his cash, rot, etc. And that's not 2019 billions. That's late 80's billions. Not a big deal, really, when you're bringing in over $400 million a WEEK. It's not exactly a credit business, either. The hardest part of Medellin's international operations (you know, doing things other than fighting the Colombian Army) was getting cash back to Colombia, not getting drugs to the rest of the world.

I wonder how many bales of hundred dollar bills are still sitting there buried in and around Medellin.

Hell, it’s basically Monopoly money. Our government prints millions of them every day - most of which are supposedly intended as replacements for those removed from circulation due to wear. Other governments print counterfeits.

Wait. Isn't Hamilton on the 10 and Cleveland on the 1000?

Hamilton is on both. Cleveland is on the later thousands. There's also some super rare 5000 and 10000 out there but that's extremely small amounts of circulation.

Even 15 years ago it took a lot to get any measurable amount of $1,000 bills
