Has she ever logged into any account on any of your devices, or you on hers? If either of you have ever seen any ad while on the other's device and also logged into any account (google/gmail, Facebook/instagram, et cetera) at any time, then you're linked.

The ad networks know "these accounts access these devices" and push ads based on anything any of you do across all those devices to all those devices. Same thing can happen if, e.g.: your mom checks her Facebook for a few minutes from your computer; later she may be seeing ads for stuff you shopped for, but on her home PC.

Two weeks ago my wife and I were discussing deodorant while driving in the car. Totally boring conversation but I swear that night her Facebook had 5 popups for deodorants. Creepy.
