as did I, and I'll put it up against theirs any day, while aTm has a good engineering program(they have a bit of a delusional view of just how good it actually is,) probably the best thing about it would be the the networking, as they are very clannish, kind of like a big frat

They? Who do you mean they. TAMU is raked #14 bu the Princeton review and LSU is tied at #99 with Whale's Vagina State, SMU, Alabama, Arkansas, UCal Santa Cruz, Kentucky, Miami, Mizzu, and Villanova.

that's pretty true, I work with a lot of faggies and generally they're pretty decent people, individually, you get a group of them together and they're nauseating

Great school. They all wear the gold class ring when they graduate and the A & M mafia is strong in Texas.

LSU doesn't compare to TAMU or UF

What a load of crap. I have never seen a Petroleum Engineer from fl. in a major position at any major Oil and Gas company.
They may have some but its few and far between.
The Oil and Gas industry is run by LSU and TAMU.

Texas as well, and engineers from Mines, Tech and OU have been pretty prominent in places I’ve been around. But I agree with you on UF as it relates to oil and gas

Why are people still interested in engineering for O&G? Tell your kid to take some comp sci classes and become a programmer engineer.

I cannot answer for every PE major in the country but I am guessing the starting salaries might have something to do with it
