The picking was thin yesterday, we got a late start, but at our final sale, we hit gold:

For $5, the 1987 Ghostbusters Firehouse, figures, and ECTO-2.
Already sold for $100

For $30, two large bins of Thomas the Train pieces. There are over 100 vehicles, 300 pieces of track and miscellaneous items, and a couple dozen buildings.

Value: $300-$600

We got the Ghostbusters Firehouse for one of our sons at Christmas. I think we may still have it.

Do you ever run across old coral skeletons? I am using thim in a reef tank to put new encrusting corals on them, I a way bring some life back to them.

Wait, Thomas is worth that much? I know what I'll be selling next time I visit my parents.

It’s like a stolen car, the parts are worth more than the whole. The little Ghostbusters sign is worth some money. Unopened, this toy is worth $2000

It’s getting up there. Depends on the version, they have wooden, plastic, metal, and even short limited pieces (which I have some in this lot)

What venue do you use for resale? Is it a pain to ship stuff to buyers?

That firehouse was awesome. The 80s were so fricking rad.

Everyone knows about baseball cards, and most even believe cards from the 80’s are old. Plus, people believe all old cards are valuable, even though there are only a few. When I run across cards, the high dollar ones are always missing.

I use eBay 80% of the time, but for vintage toys, I’m a member of a vintage toy group on FB. That’s where I sold the Ghostbusters.
I can’t sell the Thomas stuff on there because they have a rule of nothing made after 1990, but they may move that date soon since that’s 30 years now.

Shipping is easy and the buyer pays for it

My son was into Thomas when he was little.

Those things were higher than giraffe balls.

Not surprised they are collectible now.

Yeah, these people had to have a couple thousand dollars in this much stuff

Just these three cars are limited editions, worth about $20 each

I'm going to need a friend of yours, that knows everything about toys, to post his thoughts and valuation.

Thanks.

I had all of the Ghostbusters toys as a kid, including the firehouse. You could buy "slime" that you would put on that grate in the roof, and it would ooze through to the second grate and down to the bottom. It was smelly stuff but fun.
