My oven just went out. (Update in OP)

Any recommendations on who to call in Baton Rouge?
Installed a new burner and the oven is now working great again. Hopefully this burner will last another 48 years.

What is wrong with it? Is the heating element broken? That is a cheap and easy repair to do yourself.
