I’m guessing you are asking me.

I sell 95% on eBay. Vintage toys, LSU items, and Saints items go on FB collector groups first, then to eBay if they don’t sell there.
Marketing on eBay is an art form (but it’s easier now). You use to have only 80 characters only to title your auction. Now a search for an item also searches the description as well. You can spend $2-$5 an item, to boost your item, it will pop up early on general searches. I rarely do that.

I just set it and forget it, let it run for 7 days.

Why do people nowadays pay good money for old obsolete electronics and cameras? Especially the electronics.

I guess one of these days, I’m gonna make a video of my double wide mobile home and post it here, to show I’m not a hoarder.

It’s too nice to fill with trash. The wood paneling is perfect, and the dark brown shag carpet has hardly any stains.

Can Mrs. AT confirm that it really is “shag” carpeting?

I think that’s awesome!! I started collecting baseball cards when I was 13. I kept buying older cards using the money I would make doing odd jobs. I just sold my last card I bought. Money has purchased 3 laptop computers, a car for my daughter and college tuition. Just starting a new build home and buying all outdoor kitchen appliances as well as indoor appliances. I would say not bad for a hobby.

The guy that owned Jason’s Card Shop in BR, had a son named Jason (the owner was named Cecil). In 1985 or 86, Jason (about 14 years old) took his savings ($500 or so), and bought two cases of Fleer basketball (Jordan’s rookie card). His mom said he was wasting his money.
10 years later, he sold one box (I think there are 6 boxes per case), and paid cash for a brand new truck. I think a few years later, he sold a case and bought his first house.
A box now sells for $1M each

I know the family real well. Mr. Cecil is a super nice guy! Great friends with Ben McDonald. They came eat crawfish at my house a few years back.

I was wondering if he was still alive. At one point, he had to be 350+ pounds. I kind of remember him losing a lot of weight.

If I could get back the money I wasted in his shop in the 90’s, I’d be a rich man.
