My favorite conspiracy theory is that Paul died in 1966.

I honestly don't believe a word of it, but I can talk about it all day long.

My favorite fact about it is that the theory began in 1969, which is false. It began 3 years earlier because of mainstream media, and Liverpool locals.

I think it was Beatles marketing situation to sell records, but it's weird if you really dive into it.

Go ahead and post your favorite conspiracy theory, even if you don't believe it.

depends on how you define conspiracy theory. the greatest accomplishment ever was destroying the towers and claiming a ghost did it. that's after 2 decades of telling the world they were going to do it.

If Paul died, they sure found one hell of a talented replacement.

Holding a mirror up to the Sgt Peppers drum and it says he die with an arrow pointing to Paul and the Nov 11 date. Paul with his back turned on the back of the album.

First Album since his death so they put a huge clues on the cover. John grief stricken over the loss of his friend. Tells us in his magnum opus, A Day in the Life, a recognizable person “blew his mind out in a car”. They started growing facial hair at that time to pass the lookalike off easier.

In the Penny Lane video around the same time the lookalike is handed his bass when they’re sitting around a table and he starts to put it in a right handed playing position. Shifting it to his left when he remembers Paul was left handed.

All allegedly of course.

The ancient civilization humans that live underground released widespread telepathic energy shortly after WW2 to keep us from blowing up the world. This energy had more impact on kids, thus the reason for all of the unimaginable advances in music, film, and art that followed in 60s/70s/80s.

I like the album cover where Paul is sitting in a chest with the rest of the band standing around it, if you turn it sideways, Paul is now laying in a casket.
That or the left handed guitar made of flowers from another album cover

Yesterday and Today -

The albums's original cover, which was pasted over with the trunk picture at the last minute.

It’s widely known that it was about Tara Browne, the Guinness heir and his car crash.

What you say doesn’t even make sense. He grabs it with his hand and immediately turns it to left handed playing. He doesn’t “start to put it in right handed position” at all. The gif you posted doesn’t show that at all.

I know it’s a conspiracy theory thread but Jesus.

The best part about the Paul is Dead one is that they would’ve lost basically the best songwriter in history and replaced him with a literal exact looking replica….who was also basically the best songwriter in history.

Grabs the neck with his left hand for a second. Then say shite, you’re supposed to grab the neck with your right hand if you’re left handed and puts it how Paul would play it.

They had a lecture series at Southeastern a decade ago, and a guy did an entire lecture/presentation on "Paul is Dead". Absolutely fascinating.

Billy Shears (Faul or Fake Paul) won a world wide Paul McCartney look alike contest hosted by a teen magazine.

He then had plastic surgery to make it all look just right. They never got the ears exactly right and he had a scar on his lip that didn't belong. Some say that was the reason for the moustaches the Beatles donned on the Sgt. Pepper cover.

His extraordinary musical and songwriting talents were the icing on the cake.
