So my coworker was tested positive for Covid. I share an office with him and was exposed for an entire week before he decided to get tested, because he didn’t feel well. We hadn’t been wearing masks or anything, we definitely were within a couple of feet of each other multiple times a day. Then I am directed to go get tested myself. I came up negative. We’ve heard from the “experts” that this is super contagious. I guess I need to donate for antibodies, because if I were going to catch it I definitely would’ve by him. Or maybe the “experts” are full of shite...

Give it a week and retest please. You aren’t helping the numbers. Do you even BLM?

My work required me to get tested twice. The second one after 14 days. Both negative

It’s definitely unpredictable. A friend of mine’s two middle school children tested positive with mild symptoms. Both parents had no symptoms and tested negative.

Maybe you have that blood type that is fairly resistant to it. What is it? O positive?

I shared an office with a coworker once. I'm lucky to be alive as well.

I hear about this a lot. One spouse dies from Covid, other spouse drives them the hospital, sleeps with them, takes care of them- and never tests positive.

My family is experiencing this right now. My sis has it, her husband and daughter have never tested positive.

There was actually a study a few months ago showing the risk of catching it from a casual interaction in the workplace was <5% and if someone in your house was sick the risk was only 10%.

Masks do reduce it even further, you have to remember you’re dealing with statistics of scale. If a positive person casually interacts with 100 people a day, he infected 3-5 others. A casual interaction would just be defined as walking by them and breathing. The mask would make it 1-3 others instead of 3-5.

Hope your sister is doing well. My coworker’s wife and daughter both tested negative as well.
