This. I’ve got a co-worker who is pushing 220 and she always talks about her “keto diet”

nothing wrong with burpees, sled pushes, running, pull-ups, etc.

This is not like the others. Practicing falling on your face isn't functional at all

So an atheist, a vegan, and a guy who does Crossfit walk into a bar. I only know that because they told everyone within the first thirty seconds.

Are burpees a crossfit move? I just thought they were an insane cardio exercise.

So is this thing called sprinting and it's 1000x better for muscle growth than a burpee

Um, No. I've been doing those since high school basketball in the early 90's.

In Marine Corps boot camp, we ran 3 miles only a handful of times. I think my initial 3 mile run time was like 22-23 minutes. We spent 3 months of doing “up downs”, which are essentially burpees, for like 3 hours per day in totality. 3 mile run time leaving boot camp was 16:45. Burpees suck but they are a great movement for cardio.

90% of crossfit moves are not unique to crossfit

burpees are a staple of crossfit workouts, but have been around much longer

just like the majority of crossfit movements

I'll agree that they are great for making you tired, although there's much more effective ways to build cardio

Burpees are great. So are sprints. So is jumprope.

All kinds of great cardio. Why limit yourself?
