My confused Kids

We went out to eat last night with my kids, and I suggested that we order some apps. One of my daughters looked at me and asked, "Why would we order an app at a restaurant?"
One of my other kids stepped in and said, "Dad means "appetizer", right, Dad?". These are bright, college bound kids, but they live in a different world.

I've never referred to an appetizer as an "app". And I'm nearly 50.

Our subdivision gate code requires you to hit the pound button after the code. I've heard the kids on bikes telling each other to press "1234 hashtag"

Stop being a lazy fricking millennial and say the whole fricking word next time, and you won't have this problem.

I don't think I need to elaborate why this doesn't necessarily define their intelligence...

There was a younger kid in a thread a few months ago that corrected someone for calling # the pound sign. He was dead serious

She's as close to college as she is to pre-K. College-bound is a little strong.

Just saying. It's a whore pattern. They make these boys deal with all the cocks they have had and make the man love them. It's pathetic.

Oh trust me I'm with you brother I saw that exact thing on base countless times when I was a youngster
