I work for an ortho. Kids heal much faster and with less pain than adults

Right, what the frick.
Circumcisions now are done with little rubber bands right at birth where it just falls off. Completely painless.

Doctors policy. He won't do them in the hospital, has to be an office visit. That was when they could schedule him.

The pediatrician for my son came in the next morning to do the procedure. He asked me if I wanted to watch and I respectfully declined. I have never seen a doctor not do the procedure very soon after the birth. I am assuming that the doctor doesn't have access (or whatever the term is) for the hospital.

Some of us have children. Some of us love our children more than others love their own. If my 2 year old broke his arm, I'd probably shed a few tears as well. Mine had hand, foot, mouth a few months back that he caught from daycare and that was terrible. Wife and I both shed some tears over that because it's hard to watch your child in that kind of pain and not be able to do anything about it.

This happens a lot with boys. My broke his leg at 2. 6 weeks in a cast and gone. Their bones regenerate and grow so fast. Don't worry.

He delivers babies at the hospital so I assume he has access, he didn't really explain why he makes you come back in. Probably to get another visit charge or something. He had another circumcision right before us so maybe he likes to line them all up for one day.

6-8 weeks in a cast then re-X-ray to see if good to go

Could be the hospital as well. Not all hospitals do circs. Many now make the parents have it done at the pediatrician's office. Just depends on the hospital.
Circs aren't covered by Medicaid so that could factor into it as well.

Mine broke her arm when she was 4. Clean break, not a growth plate. She was fine and the cast came off in four weeks.

Waiting to get into Ortho now. Anyone know what kind of recovery process this will be?
Prepare yourself and the mother for a Child Protective Services investigation.
Seriously. Small ones like your tough boy rarely get actual broken bones so the parents almost always get investigated.(small little kids bones are really soft and flexible, takes a lot to break them) And the investigators are like IRS Auditors, their job is to find something, anything. They generally will not stop looking until they have something negative to report back.

My youngest had to wait like a week until they did his and had to actually remove it instead of the rubber band thing.
