But the thing is this should directly clash with the progressive PC crowd. What these Muslim men do is criminal and treat their women like animals. The burqa should be banned in this country. I'm not going to let old school desert religion basically break the law and treat people as second class citizens. I guess if it was a part of their religion to brutally beat their wives daily that we'd have to go with that? No, and what these Muslim men are actually doing to their wives is beating them psychologically, and probably physically as well.

Completely agree that it "should", but the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
PC Progressives believe white, southern Christians are the most dangerous, racist, homophobic people on the planet. They view their fellow Americans in contempt much more than the real enemy.

They didn't try to ban face coverings in France, they did ban them. It has been upheld on challenge, too.
