I remember after Katrina, there were some people from New Orleans who were brought to the civic center in the community I live in (I am about a 2.5 hr drive from New Orleans). All of a sudden there were rumors the people staying at the civic center were going into Wal Mart, with guns and taking what they wanted at gun point..LOL.. People were emailing this shite to everyone, it was posted on FB, etc. The parish council decided they had to move them because the fear they were creating...

We had similar rumors involving gangs, I thought it was merely a rumor until I saw a teenager punch an old woman in the face outside of the grocery store.
He picked the wrong store on the wrong day. Guess he figured the black folks weren't gonna care he hit an old white lady. Before I could get across the parking lot a big mama had picked his arse up and was slamming him against a coke machine
Our local PD put cops at both grocery stores and more at walmart after repeated strong armed robberies.
