Besides the majority of gun violence is committed by one group. And none of you want to go down that road.
Again would that population be willing to do this?
Yall are going to have to strip away rights from a group of people.

Each prefecture — which ranges in size from half a million people to 12 million, in Tokyo — can operate a maximum of three gun shops; new magazines can only be purchased by trading in empty ones; and when gun owners die, their relatives must surrender the deceased member's firearms.
Yall are going to have to strip away rights from a group of people.

Most of those countries have homogeneous societies.
So does El Salvador, Jamaica.
So you think that the people in Jamaica, did not originate in another country 300-400 years ago?
And you also think that the language of El Salvador just happens to sound a lot like Spanish, from Spain coincidentally?

To summarize explanations for LOWER murder rates as compared to USA, so far.
Ranking and ordering to what I believe are most to least importance in terms of contribution to murder rate, for further discussion.
And some questions for those who think it simply boils down to race/ethnicity, of which there are a number of you:
1. Successful African-Americans vs. African-American murders - what is difference in USA?
2. African-Americans in Europe vs. USA - what is difference vs. USA?
#1 FAMILY STRENGTH
Single-parent units place undue stress on overall unit
- Forces focus on basic needs vs. tools to advance in the economic system, eg, education
Best case outcome:
Kids not getting ingredients they need to develop into productive citizens to the level they otherwise would get in strong family unit
(See African-Americans with strong family units as cases in point)
Worst case outcome:
Kids not raised at all (feral) or kids raising kids; leaving culture-building to the kids, who glorify gang culture and thuggery and create vicious cycle across community and generations
Welfare at its core is there to help people who need help; however, it offers no incentives to address the root causes and has unintended consequences of reinforcing the root causes) and consequences of long-term if not lifetime timelines.
Other things that tear into a family unit:
Alcohol and drugs
Violence
Role modeling alcohol, drugs and violence
No quality engagement
That leads to connection to #2
#2 CULTURE OF RESPECT & DISCIPLINE
Closely related to Family strength, but goes beyond family nucleus and into multiple family nuclei, a fabric of people who individuals see and can reflect upon to see values and beliefs of:
- Respecting elders
- Self discipline
- Delivering obligations
Critical is for these individuals to be able to see people like themselves thriving via respect, self discipline, and delivering obligations; otherwise, it is just words.
(eg, I can fathom becoming what people with these values and beliefs become)
This is where hope and optimism is either born or destroyed. Try living a life without hope and optimism. That leads to #s 3 and 4:
#3 DRUGS AND ALCOHOL (Most forgot alcohol, silly OT'ers)
#4 WEAK VS. STRONG CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEMS

We need more jobs and opportunity for uneducated workers. We gave those all away to China years ago.
Bring manufacturing back to our cities. Not everyone can sit at an office and work a white collar job.

America is either going to have to go full authoritarian or at some point recognize the crippling wealth gaps, poverty, inequality, and sense of basic needs going unmet are simply reinforcing vicious cycles of crime, violence, and social unrest.
Did all of these issues just start three years ago?
Or possible we can address the real problem - horrible economic decisions by politics class starting with ineffective economic shutdowns in 2020 and in the incentivizing of crime and criminals by the American left in 2020.
It isn’t rocket science

Singapore not surprising they will publicly beat the shite out of you for littering
Also while no one in the media will report it our crime numbers would be very good if we removed the urban black male from the equation. That’s the elephant in the room no one acknowledges. Small fraction of our population commits the majority of violent crime

You were the one leaning into racism hard.

It's no surprise that the cities with the lowest homicide rates (regardless of whether they're in gun friendly states or not) all have low poverty rates and a low athletic and explosive %.
