Multiple arrests made after series of statutory rapes on JSU campus

Commander Allen George with the Seventh Judicial Circuit Major Crimes Task Force says nine men have been charged with second-degree rape. The men range in age from 18 to 22 and are from Anniston, Jacksonville, and as far away as Centre and Guntersville
I wonder if these girls were living on campus and what JSU's liability is.

I appreciate that they're using statutory rape instead of the vague and misleading 2nd degree rape. I know the police will use second degree, but they're substantially different in the eyes of thr general public.

Don't know. The linked article doesn't give much info and says the police won't be giving any more info.
Makes me wonder if they are trying to protect JSU as much as possible.

It made me think of that UAB situation. But it doesn't say they were enrolled at JSU. Being real tight lipped so it makes me think it might be.
