And these people, to use the term loosely when it comes to cops, are allowed to raise families, miserable SOB families of course.
I mean right. No way the government should allow cops to marry or have kids. Crazy shite.

My bartender friend would get pulled over at least once a week. I guess cops figure if you’re on the road after 2:00 AM, you’re drunk. It would be a great experiment if you videoed yourself driving around after 2:00 and see how many a-hole cops pulled you over. I bet it would be alarmingly high numbers.

When I DJ'd I would get pulled over once a month
who else is out driving at three in the morning ?
it was a slow time,
the cops could tell very quickly that I wasn't drunk they would ask me where I was coming from where I was going I would tell them they would thank me send me on my way sometimes give me a business card so I could get them in the club
I appreciated the cops looking out
Since I knew, other than me probably ninety-eight percent of the people on the road were drunk
Because I had to dodge them, I appreciated the cops looking out
Maybe you and the people you're hanging out with need to stop drinking and driving that would fix this problem as far as your concerned

Anyone thinking drinking and driving is okay has never had a family members killed or injured by a fricking drunk. In 2022 there were 13,524 deaths related to accidents involving alcohol.
Don’t be an a-hole and drive drunk and you won’t have to worry about getting arrested, court fees etc.

Yeah that's what says so insane, it's really easy not to be caught driving drunk
don't drive drunk
Especially in the days of Uber/ Lyft
In fact catch a ride to the bar then you don't have to worry about your Kia being towed while you're sitting in jail

Who’s the bigger a-hole. The person driving around after 2:00 sober or the a-hole cop that pulls you over with a bullshite excuse because they think you’re drunk??
Posted on 6/8/25 at 12:14 pm to Lake08
The guy driving drunk
The guy defending drunk drivers
a a-hole cop
An innocent civilian / A cop doing his job
in that order

You got 14 people in the back of this truck I warned you twice, and now I'm writing you up"
I said, "Officer, what have I done?"
He smiled and said, "Boy you're having too much fun"

I remember 10 years or so ago on the Northshore from Nola, there was an illegal immigrant who was deported after their 7th DWI. Dude was in his late 30's if I recall correctly.

With that many, the county HAS to see this as a pure cash register vs a “safety” issue
Are you stupid? DWI is not a safety issue?
Posted on 6/8/25 at 12:33 pm to Proximo
Can you people read? Damn. I didn’t say it wasn’t a safety issue. I am saying with the amount of DWI’s that are handed out, the county sees it as money generator over making the roads safer.

I’m a lawyer, I hope I can read. you said they are pulling over drunks because the money is a higher priority than drunks killing people’s family members (see your vs. statement I quoted).
As someone whose had his dad killed by a drunk driver, it’s offensive idiots think the way you do
I was pulled over in front of tigerland on the way home from his memorial service. Guess what? I didn’t give a frick they were ferreting out drunks because I’m not a retarded drunk

Depts like DWIs because it’s a good case in the public’s eyes yet it doesn’t take 3 detectives three months to solve. You’re drunk or youre not. Quick test and case closed.

Sorry about your dad. I just have a very hard time thinking when a cop arrests someone for DWI, the first thing that crosses their mind is “man, I just made the road safer vs. how this arrest benefits said officer

What if you sleep/take a nap, wake up but feel much better and drive?Probably still over the legal limit.
Posted on 6/8/25 at 12:51 pm to saintsfan1977
dont get drunk
and then drive
its very simple
a nap?
An hour or two hours ,three hours,, that's not enough time for alcohol to clear your system

How would it benefit that specific officer?
financially ,, ?
You don't think cops who have cleaned up a drunk driving scene where someone is killed you don't think that doesn't affect them?
You don't think something like that services motivation?
