They have 3 divisions for all the testing category champions. What’s with the everyone having to get a trophy? LHSAA has lost control of Mu Alpha Theta.

Anyone voluntarily doing math on a Saturday deserves a trophy IMO

Congrats on raising a mathlete and good luck to him/her!

My son is not at the competition today, so I'm not sure, but classicaly there have been two divisions, and it is based on school size just like high school athletics are.

Athletes have 5 divisions. 6 in some states. Are we going to whine that everyone gets a trophy there too?

I am not whining. Someone asked what the divisions are. It's actually pretty difficult to get a trophy in Mu Alpha competitions.

I can't imagine why St. Josephs Academy is in the 3rd division. They don't belong in that group based on size.
