I’m sure being older impacts my position. But if your argument is technology has not skewed and desensitized today’s youth and negatively impacted mental health then you are an idiot.

Piss off. A fax machine is nothing but a waffle iron with a phone attached.

Suicide is often considered cowardly, right or wrong. This is surely way more cowardly.

I know my buddies and I used to roll crooked cigarettes and go watch the LARPers in the park across the street from my house in Nashville. shite was hilarious.

Asked a buddy if he wanted to join once and gave him a dodge ball that was covered in gray tape that was supposed to be a stone for a catapult and he pegged a couple of a those dorks and they asked him to stop playing.

It was straight up like the movie “Role Models”.

I have typed up several quick response messages and deleted them all... only to leave this: that was intense, and it's exceedingly difficult to articulate my thoughts about it. To see what someone wrote RIGHT after they did that is sickening but illuminating.

And how could better mental health have helped this one? He presumably was a rather normal person who just decided to kill close loved ones just to see what it felt like.
He was known to be suicidal since high school.

Go ahead and link me some empirical evidence showing technology used to play violent games is causing kids to act out violently in real life.

I'll give you a hint, you won't find any.

So let’s say we had mental health reform other than locking this kid up 5 years ago what could have been done to prevent this? Nothing. Evil is real and can’t be treated. It’s not going away. It’s always existed.
Maybe this kid could have been helped, maybe not. But your 'solution' is to just not even try? Just throw up your hands and say "frick it"?

It should be obvious that although evil things happen nearly everywhere, it is more concentrated in some parts of the world than others. To me that says society plays a big role in how much bad stuff happens, so we can do something about it. We just have to give a shite.

Obviously his actions were horrible, but I don't wish hell on anyone. I have never understood why there is such hate towards others and why people say things like, "I hope he rots in hell."
