We flew in much closer to it. If you get the right flight path into Seattle, you'll feel likenyou can touch it. It's spectacular.

I made that flight two weeks ago..sheer size had my jaw drop...I will explore these mountains one day..so many trails I have trouble deciding which one to hike

Leaving Seattle by air going East, everything is green. Once you pass Rainier, everything turns brown

Mt St Helens is amazing. Nothing else like it. Simply mythical. Its magma stores have been replenishing lately. Amazing lava-tunnel called Ape Cave nearby.

I flew in during late morning and could see climbers descending on their routes. Incredible.
