I had a lot of trouble last year before a trip to Colorado. I kept having drivers cancel. In the comments. I put 100% tip!!. It was a $9 Uber. I tipped $20.
I can see why they don't want to take that ride. Now I know drivers and a couple of days before I'll just tell them. Though if it's a family trip I like having the car at US park when we get back.

I flew out of MSY yesterday and parked in the short term parking (as I usually do when flying) with zero issues
So this tells me they are opening and closing the lots throughout the day. Makes it damn hard to plan your arrival time when I may or may not need an extra 30 mins to park off site. Guess I need to look into that online tracker Speedy posted earlier.

That’s been down for a few days:

Part of the problem is people still think they can drive up park and walk onto the plane.
I aim to arrive at the airport 2.5 hours before flight time. En route check garage status to see where to park or if I need to go to US park.
Park and get to terminal. Check bags if needed. Go through security. Go get a drink or bite to eat. Pull out my laptop and work.
I’ve never missed a flight or been stressed about missing a flight.

Sure it is more expensive to park there
Short term is $2 more per day than long term.
It’s always my first choice.

They probably wait until x number if spots are open. Because if you let someone in and they can’t find a spot, it’s a pain to get out
