Which dealership do you sell new trucks for?
None. Why would I be talking about what the actual better deal for the consumer is if I worked for a dealer?

MSRP is a meaningless number

I worked for an automaker as an engineer in South Carolina for 5 years. You mouth off some of the most incorrect information regarding automobiles more than anyone else on here. It's almost incredible how off-base you are.

Uh uh. Tell em where I'm wrong.

I could have searched and found a 1 year old F150 with 20k miles for $30k. I found a brand new one for $44.5k, got it down to $34.5K after rebates and incentives, and I got 20k more miles and 1 more year of warranty than I would have got with the used truck.
Good for you, but you realize $4,500 is 13% off and a lot of money right? Lol. I love guys that say, well I could have gotten a brand new truck for $5k more.
Well its $5 freaking thousand more. Do you expect to get a 1 year old truck for half price? Who needs a warranty on a sub 75k mile vehicle? If you do, its a shite vehicle. Recalls maybe, but guess what, I actually like a 2 year old vehicle better than new because you don't have to do all the recall BS. Sure they are free, but its still my time to take it to the dealer and deal with it.
Sure, I agree you don't get a LOT off of a 1-2 year old vehicle. But have you priced vehicles with 50k miles that are 2-4 years old? They are still $20k+ most of the time.
If you can get a vehicle for 15% off with 20k miles, then you can likely sell it for 5-10k less in 5 years.
Good prices on slightly used and off lease trucks can be found. I agree its not like it used to be though.

Why why why can GM not make decent looking interiors. I just dont get it.

Ram’s interiors have tribal stitching and other over the top adornment.
Ford has cheap plastic in numerous places if you look hard
Toyota and Nissan?

doesn't work that way, but these same cliche posts in every vehicle thread never get old.
Yes it does. Ky brother is a dealer

GM interiors just look so dated.

Just so I have you right, he's selling trucks that are $60k new for $30k?
Posted on 8/9/18 at 10:24 am to Chad504boy
Yep. I mean a new Accords interiors look better.

They aren’t as flashy as some for sure but I think they are going for materials and tradition. I know the Denali will have real metal trim and knobs.
GM dropped the ball on no panoramic sunroof though. I also think the infotainment screen should be a touch larger, which would help with some of the deadspace that is on the 2019 dash which bugs me. I like a column shift however.

Regardless of the additional features and new pricing, the new models do not look good to me at all. I currently own a 2016 and love it.

The '16 to '18 Denali is probably my favorite truck. Just wish it had some tech other manufactures have had for several years, like rear AC vents and smart key

“Big rims” - no thanks
That tailgate looks fricking stupid. Maybe it’s the angle but it looks tiny and high off the bumper like it be a PITA to get anything big in there like sheets of plywood.

Only half the tailgate is open

Ahh I see.
So two sets of hinges to get wonky once something inevitably hits the tailgate when it’s diwn.
