Moving company not delivering my items when they said they would

My moving company said it would be 4-14 business days from the day they picked up my stuff
They picked up my stuff on March 10. So today is business day #14. They called me yesterday saying they would deliver today between 3-7. So I took off work at 2:30 to be home by 3. Then they just called me saying because its going to rain they can't deliver until tomorrow from 7-10am.
So now I have to take off work again tomorrow.
Two problems
1. Taking off work, I am salary so I don't need to take sick or vacation time to cover but at the same time I am needed. It's inconveniencing me and the station I work for
2. If they deliver tomorrow that would mean its the 15th business day since they picked up - which is outside the quoted window
How much of a hard sell should I do to try and get some kind of a partial refund here. I called the moving company and they said they would call me back.

sounds like you've been dealing with a bunch of betas.
do the Alpha thing and call them up and chew their asses out.

Send them some of your lifting videos and they'll be over there quickly to swoon over you.

An alpha would have moved his own shite.

ehhhh, cut em some slack. We actually did have some pretty bad weather in the area.

You obviously forgot to check the box designating yourself as an alpha on the moving form.

What does your contract say about weather delays?

I'm reluctant to give you a serious answer, but
I would tell them you had to take off work twice and they are outside when they said it would be done so you expect some sort of refund. I wouldn't waste a ton of time trying to haggle, but it will probably be pretty easy to get them to give you some money back.

But it will satisfy is insatiable need for attention. So, 2 birds 1 stone.

I guess they spotted you as a beta bitch who they knew they could frick over and did just that.
Cuck.

I'd wait until I got all my stuff before I started wavering on paying the full bill. I'm pretty sure the contract will have some kind of flexible language dealing with delivery delays. You should probably just let it go, give them a bad review and use a different mover next time..

i don't have any solutions. just here because this thread is likely going to get me to the end of the day.

The back back back end of the quoted window and they couldn't even meet that.
And the excuse is because its going to rain.
Give me a break.
I also forgot to add I originally wanted them to pick my stuff up on March 11 but they had to move it to March 10 at the last minute so my last day of work at my old job I had to use 5 vacation hours to cover that. So I lost out on 5 hours of pay at my old job because they had to switch on me at the last minute.
